I am reluctant to respond to you EF, because no one wants to see a pissing contest on an internet fishing forum, but since you desperately want another chance to show off your anti-social personality skills, I thought I’d throw you a bone.
Imagine being so insecure that your outlet is going to an online forum to browbeat total strangers over minor, technical fishing mistakes, then getting your rocks off bragging about it. EF, you have serious self-esteem issues.
As to your concerns about my fishing practices, I note you never comment on the results. Which is interesting, since you never post results yourself.
Regarding your comments on my “illegal” activities, for what it’s worth, you are correct; I did confuse Snapper species the first time I caught one, despite a buddy and I accessing a website to compare Vermillion to ARS with the sun beating down on our phone screens, and the fish flopping on the deck. We definitely got it wrong, as you jubilantly point out.
And I did use an “illegal” J hook to catch (and release) a Shark, after I ran out of circle hooks that day. Imagine! You really got me on that one, EF.
As to fishing Frampton “on the wrong tide” thanks a bunch for pointing that out, then bragging about it like a whiny little ■■■■■. Unfortunately, it was the only time of day I was able to get out, and I used it to scout the area for future trips. I don’t recall asking you for advice. If you did offer any, I’m sure it was with strings attached, so you could say “I told you so” in the future. Again, self-esteem issues.
As to the Porgy, yes, I took a few home to try out. Not my first choice, but not bad either. So far as I know, it’s not illegal. You come off as an out of touch elitist by slamming someone for eating Porgies, while a good portion of the local population does the same. Maybe raise the issue with them next time.
As for gigging the Snook, whatever. Again, not illegal, wasn’t going to survive the winter, split second decision with a seasoned captain, blah blah blah. No one here wants to relive the debate, but I’m sure you wont be able to help yourself.
So thanks for pointing out the four or five mistakes I’ve made in the 10 years that I’ve been fishing this beautiful place. Newsflash: There are plenty more that you don’t know about. Feel free to gloat over those too, if you like. I’m happy that I actually get to spend time on the water catching fish with friends, while you desperately look for props from internet strangers. You are a pretty sad guy, EF. I sincerely hope you get better
