Im in. This will be my first kayak tournament so I am trying to get everthing that i will need ahead of time and i have a few questions. Is there a certain fish ruler that has to be used, and will it be ok for me to take the pictures with my phone? Im also trying to get two other guys to join. They will need to rent there kayaks, I know time out sports rents them but incase they are taken is there any other place that has kayaks for rent?

I will have some rulers available at the capts meeting but the 321fish.com rulers are the best for the sticker type. As long as I can clearly see the numbers to score the fish most rulers will be OK. Bring it to the capts meeting if you are unsure.
All photos need to be taken with a camera, not phones. I have to be able to transfer the pictures to my laptop so I can view and score them. Any camera using an SD, or Compact Flash card will work, if you have something else bring a cable so I can download them.
I think there may be other places that rent kayaks but they will probably not be rigged for fishing.
I know the next question is “where is the capts meeting and weigh in gonna be…” Still hammering out details, we have a generous offer for a place at Folly Beach but I am trying to find a place more centrally located to the north side of the harbor where most people will be fishing. I’ll have it settled soon

Do we pre register or just do it at the cpts meeting. Ken did you hit up TFO to see if they would donate a couple HOW rods for prizes or raffles? Also contact http://www.downsouthlures.com/products.html I use his lures with good success and he is trying to get his products on the East Coast so maybe a couple packs would be good exposure for him.
Not able to make the tourny but, would be interested in a shirt if there are any extras. That’s nice looking.
TFO has not replied to my e-mails… Gonna try and hit up the local rep otherwise I think March Brown will do us a solid again. I’ll hit up Down South as well… Thanks Scott!!!

Wild Wings Cafe on Coleman Blvd in Mt. Pleasant!! We will have some finger food and chips but your beverage choice will be up to you at the bar. They have a really nice deck/patio and we will be out there.

Stop rushing me!! … trying to find a place very central to where everyone will be fishing like Mt. P. Thought about doing it at the shop but the property owner wants extra insurance so we are looking at somewhere else… I got a iron in the fire that is pretty hot right now and I may be able to work out a deal… I’ll have that sorted out this week…
