I got Mike Savlen on board as a donor of some of his Artwork that will raffled off in a special raffle at the capts meeting… Tickets will be $5 each and a minimum of 15 tickets must be sold. We may have some other items for the special raffle… Looking forward to seeing everyone there. Just over a week to go.

We doing a best darn tackle box?
Annoy a Liberal, Work Hard and Be Happy!
Yes there will be a BDTB… Just to clarify the BDTB is where you donate a NEW pack of baits, a lure, pack of hooks, etc to the BDTB and you will receive a raffle ticket for every item you enter ( if you put 2 packs of Z-Man baits int here you get 2 tickets, one pack of hooks you get one ticket etc) . A ticket is drawn and the winner takes everything in the tackle box…
I do not have a rod for the Fly division this year… yet… If I can get one we will have a fly division of not I am trying to work out sumptin
Need to find a box for this years BDTB… I was wondering if Haddrels would wanna pony up a minnow bucket or sumptin? I am outta ammo cans and the “other” store is draggin their feet on support promised and I’d rather not tax them out with anymore requests…
T-shirts will be delivered this coming Tuesday, I’ll be picking up the Savlen Art next week, Pure Fishing has a donation for the tourney/chapter and we of course have some of the other prizes…
it’s shaping up to look like a pretty good time… Right now we have over 60 who have said they will fish but we won’t know for sure until the capt’s meeting…

I am sure we will have extras if not in the size you need I am pretty sure we can work out something…
As for the weigh in the fire died on my lead and I am still trying to line up a location for the weigh in… if anyone has contacts in Mt P that will let us please let me know… I am going to hit up one more place I know of…

Just a reminder… 2 days til the capts meeting and 3 days til we fish
Just to make sure everyone knows… this is a CPR tourney (Catch Photo Release) while you are free to keep legal fish if you’d like we do not want any fish brought in to be “weighed” in. The photos of the fish with the identifier are how you “weigh in”. Due to the lack of internet and all that jazz you need to have a digital camera, sorry no phones unless the images are on a SD card that can be removed. I can read Compact Flash cards and regular sized SD cards. If you have some other format please bring a USB cable or an adapter so I can get the images and score the fish. If I can’t get the photos I can;t score the fish.
Again the Capts meeting will be from 6-8 at the Mt P Wild Wings Friday and the weigh in will be at Sticky Fingers in Mt P from about 2PM til 5PM Saturday…
See ya’ll there

Hey what are the plans for Weather? Current forecast for Saturday is Winds from the North–25 to 30 KT gusting to 35 KT…Seas 7 to 10 Ft and a chance of showers.
I understand that there might already be a small craft advisory in place.
if there is a SCA we will have to cancel otherwise it’s fish on… last report I saw was calling for 10-15 out of the north…

Just to clarify… NOTHING IS CANCELLED… we will wait and make a call on Friday. I just want everyone in the loop on what we are looking at… Because this is an organization and not just a bunch of people fishing, we have rules we need to play by. Come out ot the Capts Meeting and have some fun and we’ll see what shakes loose.

Just checked out the recent update on the Facebook page. Looks like we are fishing Sunday but capt. meeting is still on Friday. Hopefully someone can confirm that here for everyone.
If two wrongs don’t make a right, try three.
Ask and ye shall receive…
ATTENTION ALL INVITEES:… The Redfishville Shootout for HOW has been pushed back to Sunday the 28th… The capts meeting will still be Friday at Wild Wings on coleman blvd from 6-8pm, those registering will receive their id’s then. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO CANNOT MAKE THE CAPTS MEETING I WILL BE AT THE PARKING LOT AT THE LOW COUNTRY FLY SHOP (280 w. coleman blvd suite e mt p sc 29464) FROM 6:00 AM UNTIL 8:00 AM FOR LATE REGISTRATION AND ID HAND OUT. The weigh in will still be at Sticky Fingers as before except Sunday instead of Saturday. THIS IS PLAN B… it still may fail and we’ll have to play it by ear but Sunday is supposed to be better… This is the best we can do. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Lemme know if you have any questions…
