5/12 Cobia @ the light

Caught 2 sharks early before the crowd showed up. Caught this 31lber in the net within 60 secs,(i swear by using a net on cobia.) had another smaller one spit the circle hook near the boat and had a 3rd mystery fish make a good run to the surface and spit another circle but can’t make pos ID for cobia. Both spit hooks were 8/0 owner, will stick to the 12/0 from now on. Lots of live bait around and what appeared to be small blues or spanish running bait and jumping. Great job by matt and david to keep things straight.

Good deal, I ran down to beaufort sat morning only to get skunked. Did see several fish landed. There was just under 7 million boat there. Good to know they are at the light. Saves a 45 min boat ride.
