Headed to the Sow Pen first line in around 7:45-8 first no real weed lines or temp breaks, except one scattered one that we kept losing and getting back on, put maybe 6 or 7 dolphin in the boat there. Kept pushing out to where the temp breaks were. Didn’t find s@*t. Decided to move south a little towards the Deli trolled arounds there for another hour and a half picked up 8 more dolphin. First half of the ride home was a little sloppy.
Today did a solo trip to the hump and Eagles Nest to bottom fish, nothing but BSBs mostly small. Bad day on the bottom either due to my terrible jigging or terrible sonar reading skills coupled with trying to stay over top of anything I found.

bennetmp, I am new to offshore fishing out of Beaufort but made a trip on Sunday that sounded pretty similar to yours. We left out hoping to find weeds and fish around the snapper banks but did’t find anything until getting near the deli. We ended up with 8 gaffers so not too bad of a day after a long boat ride. Where is the Sow Pen? Is it something I can find on a Top Spot chart?
Overruled - Sow Pen is about 6 miles to the North of the Deli, I believe it is on te Maps Unique chart. We are headed out around 3:30 tomorrow and I’ll grab the numbers for you off the plotter

Thanks for the numbers. I hope to get back out again soon but would be nice to find fish a little closer. It will probably be Memorial Day weekend before I can go again. I will check in to see if anyone else is going just to know someone is out there in case something happens.
