5 lb Flounder and some nice trout...

Fished with my good friend Capt. Rick Percy today at his “beach” numbers. Caught my best ever flounder at 4.92 lbs. Rick caught another flounder and we missed another big one, plus some lady fish and a jack crevalle.

Then we started hammering the trout on jigs. Caught 42 total today…kept 18 to split for the table cuz we have not been saving any fish.

This was really a tremendous day with a great friend, but if you know someone wanting a charter, you can’t go wrong with Capt. Rick Percy of Reel Chance Charters. www.reelchancecharters.com Not only is he a good fisherman, he’s a really nice and personable soft-spoken man. (except when he loses a flounder).

BTW…there were waterspouts everywhere today! And we watched a tarpon roll 9 or 10 times at daylight this morning.

Nice job Jim!

Thanks, Tennent. I hope I did not waste too much of the flounder when I filleted it…what do y’all think?

Awesome! That is a killer fillet job and on a flattie. My mouth is watering.

We caught some nice trout last week in the surf on small pieces of cut mullet with no bones in it . I tried a jig but no takers , maybe not the right color . I stuck to what was working .

Photoshopped a string ray to make it look like a flatty. Nice try.

Nice work fellas!

I think you could read a newspaper through that thing

Guys, he took it to Blair to get it filleted. Jims afraid of blood.

Great day of fishing it looks like!!!

First time I ever saw anyone post a picture of a carcass. I should have knocked it off with the net like I did his other one Pete.

Man, there isn’t enough left for the ants to fool with.

If you’re lucky enough to be fishing, you’re lucky enough.

Great report Jim. Good for you and Capt. Rick!
