Low tide and mid day had things slow until about mid tide and 4 o’clock. The green brown water/tide line moved from about 4 or 500 yd to about 100yds off the beach as the winds switch from a cross onshore to a lighter onshore wind. It was brown nasty water with decently rough conditions. Dropped a chunk of Bonita about 150yds at dead low and a chunk of cow nose about 300yds. They sat silently until I heard a slow tick on the ray chunk. Then it ran about 10 yds and stopped. Played with it some for a minute then nothing. I set in the rod holder for about 30 seconds and it went tight and then extremely slack I thought for a few seconds while reeling in darn a bite off. Then my second thought the experienced thought took over that’s to light to be a bite off he’s running in. I mach 5 150yds in come tight he gets a taste of drag and runs another 200yds to the surf. I mach 5 it again for like 200yds. I get him in the big breakers and he feel s small like sharp nose or small black tip. I see pieces of fins in the waves and I’m like man a little black tip pass the rod and start to leader and he turns in to a decent lemon, next wave he turns into a big lemon and he comes to live full of energy. From leader time to release time was about a minute and I did it solo. The hook was barely in so that saved time and made it easy it didn’t even break skin really. Fished from one to about 4:30 the bite started about 4. I caught 2 sharp nose back to back on a spinner as I’m dehooking one after just doing 2 100yd yak outs and reeling them in as fast as I can like 5 minutes each the big lemon hit my big rod at 4:15 or 4:20. My work was done.
Great catch! That’s on the bigger size lemon sharks! What beach were you fishing?
Beautiful work 40. Very nice catch.
Nice catch! I like how you narrated your story

19’ American Skiff Coral Bay
hahaha I’m cracking up with the boogie guy in the back.
When I got there no one was there but 1 guy fishing and it was the 3rd spot I checked to find no people. I had some locals visit my spread. They found out white braid is hard to see on the horizon. Also some out of towners got to see what swims with them in the ocean. It or small crowd that was from Michigan Minnesota Maine and Ohio mostly older women and one grandpa all were sun bathers except forthe boogie man from Minnesota. Everyone enjoyed the experience and I even got a few to help with measuring, and pictures.
