I couldn’t help but notice that big Sea Ray moored on Big Bay Creek.Man that is a Big Boat.Lots of stateroom, galley, salon, space on that beauty. Is that boat permanently docked there? Who owns that baby? Not my idea of my $2 million dollar dreamboat, but an impressive vessel none the less.
Boat belongs to Dwight Funderburk from Greenwood. He told me it would have rod holders, but I was told it didnt. I think it has 5 or 6 tv’s. Maybe his definition of “rod” holder is…

If I could afford a 2 million dollar boat, I’m sure I could round up some “rod holders”.

</font id=“quote”></blockquote id=“quote”>Isn’t that guy a developer that is building some houses down at Edisto? He just built a couple across from Whaleys a couple of years ago, right around the corner from my house.
I assume it’s the same guy.

I don’t know about her mutated self being an Edisto rod-holder. Yuk:dizzy_face:.
However, I’m sure she’d find plenty of willing “rods” at Myrtle Beach. Myrtle Beach guys would let anything hold their “rods”.

Yes he is a developer. Also owns the golf course. Took it from a piece of crap, made it look really good; something for the whole island to be proud of. Unfortunately he is taking a lot of sh… from the town council.

What’s he taking crap about? I haven’t heard anything about him. I just had heard his name generally in connection with those houses.

Give you an example. From what I hear the Bell Bouy deal with the town was done by the council to keep him from buying it and developing it. I can see both sides but to take 5+ million dollars off the tax records is something I question.

I did hear about that, but didn’t know it was him.
Wasn’t he going to put a gambling boat or something there? Or was that just an urban myth?
Just trying to learn every bit I can about saltwater fishing…
Absolutely no gambling boat. That was someone else.
jeff 33 Grady White
I see.
What was the deal with the gambling boat, anyway?

I don’t know anything about that, but we sure don’t need it.
jeff 33 Grady White
Amen to that. Could you even imagine a gambling boat at Edisto??? Ugh.

I don’t know who owns or runs the golf course but I’ve played it 3 times this year and they have been nothing but nice to us and the course keeps getting better.
Dwight Funderburk and Leland Vaughan own the course. They’ve spent lots of money and lots of time to make it right.

Well it’s right.

Nearly half of the 5 million was givin’ to the town in the form of a grant. The town owes just over 2 million. The design looks good but I don’t think there will be enough parking.
Just asking. Will the city pay taxes on the property? And if so how much will the property appraise for?

What was the Bell Bouy deal?
