Please sign onto this and share with others to avoid closure of huge areas offshore to fishing and diving through SAFMC’s Amendment 17A. Fight the special interests that are rushing our federal fishery management process so the real science can’t come to the surface before their agenda to get us off the water has been advanced.
This must be done immediately because SAFMC is meeting this week in Orlando to decide this. We need to get as many business owners and anglers’ names signed up as possible to ask SAFMC (federal fishery managers for off our coast) not to close down large areas of ocean to all diving as well as fishing for over 70 species of fish as part of the red snapper rebuilding plan.
This petition having broad support is very important so these managers understand how many people and businesses they are affecting.
Spread the word anywhere and everywhere. The managers need to see who cares about their decisions and who supports the rational members of the management council when they buck the well-funded special interests and vocal minority that are pushing an ideological agenda.
