Low out going tide from 6 to about 11 but moved spots to meet up with buddies. So fished about 4hrs total 1 mini 8 inch shark on casted shark baits and plenty of fish on a shrimp imitation sabiki. I had multiple fish on many times with lots off them shaking off on the way in. Sabikied by rock currents about a hr total and caught about 9 whiting 3 trout 3 bass 1 flounder 1 pin fish and lost a couple decent size fish. The area had excellent surf fishing but not sharky at all. All fish were like 8 to 13 inches.
Forgot to add a anonymous house called the cops and said we were fishing without licenses. Lol some people are pathetic.

A kayake or canoe-er should have right to a parking spot at a boat ramp just like a boat. You need a life jacket and a whistle and lights at night just like a john boat. They honestly get treated bad enough as it is on the water cut them some slack.

That place is public has public parking signs and I know several people who live on SI and when I moved to the second spot we were fishing where the people who live on SI used to live. Also a public access and public beach. I just posted this to be petty and let them know it was pathetic in case they see it and to hopefully blow there spot up.
100% the best surf fishing for fish other than sharks. I could barely catch whiting there was so much game fish. Best place to surf fish out. Every set of rocks holds fish. Also this is about the 3rd or 4th time I’ve talked to SI cops, granted I was doing nothing wrong everytime, they are nice, respectful and most of all fair.
I like the looks of that shrimp Sabiki…where could a fellow find one of those ?

hahaha I have been flagged for fishing without a license as well. People are stupid and feel they own the beach and that you shouldn’t be there. One person called me out on it to my face telling me to stop taking our fish and to go back to ohio… haha. when I showed them my instate yearly license and told them I live here they mumbled and reminded me that I couldn’t swim there or that I should fish somewhere else :roll eyes:
EBay and amazon gots the best deal and savings. Just check because some items will be just a notch more expensive but take way less time shipping.
that is pretty funny, i have never had anyone call or even approach me about fishing on SI between say 28th and 30th. I would probably loose my *%^# and then really have to have to cops called on me if someone told me to go back to Ohio…thats my line!!!
