There are many that push their boats pretty hard and just don’t understand why it is constantly breaking down or screws are falling out, or have stress cracks, etc.

I think you’ve caught on.
Ran 30+ miles through 2-3’ chop in between 4’ swell head sea. Ran 12 miles through the trough to another spot, then 12 to another quartering, and then 28 miles home. Half the day was run at 4500-5000RPMs. The rest was generally at 4000RPMs or idle. The motor was not shut off for the entire day…
The price? 30 gallons. Brand new boat is probably just under $35K with every option you could get. Maybe even less. The math looks pretty good to me. Trout has the same boat and engine.
These boats handle a lot bigger and are a lot drier than you might think. Anybody who has been on one in the ocean will tell you so. I have not said for anybody to sell their bigger rides. I would rather be on a 197 pioneer than a 21 or 22 anything else though. Reelly.
When they start making a 25 or 26 with twin 150’s, I’ll probably tell y’all to sell that 31 fish around. We’ll see how it rides.
