Decided to go to offshore for the day to try are luck on bottom fishing. We got caught our limit of B-Liners(25 since we had 5 on board). Caught a few grunts and one nice sized black fish.
It was a bit rough out there so it was a day of fighting the current/wind but all was great. While we were there, we got to see a nice sized tiger shark, looked to be about 10 feet long. He kept following the boat when we would move to reposition. As we kept watching him, we noticed a few cobia’s swimming along side of him. One looked like a decent size, so we tried catching it, but to no avail.
After a few hours another boat did show up, he was there for maybe about an hour before we road up to him to see what he was catching, he did manage to catch a 60 pound cobia(lucky for him).
While on the way back in, we did troll for about an hour to see if we could get a bite, but no luck.
That must be the same Tiger shark that came in on me fast and aggressive a couple weeks ago. Then circled. We were free diving. They must be eating the donkeys. Impressive animal to see under water!
It would have been nice to see some AJ’s, as we really only caught B-Liners, prob 100 total. They would not stop biting, but that makes for a fun day. I don’t know if I could have been in the water with that shark swimming around, you are a crazy person!
It’s a good thing you guys posted exactly where you were so everyone else knows not to go there next weekend to get the rest of the b-liners and remaining cobia.

Because there are so few, fish don’t move, and these are the last ones left…
Sounds like you might be the ones making all these restrictions…
You should know before you challenge “TSO” (The Skinnee One), that he has done his research… He might be an ass, but he certainly does not speak out of his ass…

Oh yeah, one more thing. Don’t take my advice. Keep giving out specific information to strangers on the internet who you have never met before, and create monsters who will never share the same ethics as you on the water if it makes you feel good! It doesn’t affect me one bit. I don’t fish on the Y-73 for just that reason! And before you accuse me of “not helping”, maybe consider that I just did…

So “The Skinnee Ones” research shows that the Y-73 reef will be fished out next weekend? What’s the point of this website or fishing reports if it’s all secret?

You seem to be trying a little too hard. Are you really going to make me explain this concept to you in detail? This is fishing 101.
Unfortunately some level of secrecy is to be maintained to mitigate the impact of “Tragedy of the Commons”. If you don’t believe me, then feel free to post the coordinates of all of your favorite bottom fishing spots on the WWW. You turn…
I have said what should have been said. If I hurt anyone’s feelings, I apologize.
