Thanks for the report GaToRAiDAB. Need to Grow a thick skin on this site! I used to post all the time, but the keyboard Captains convinced me to keep the info to myself and my crews ( Which I’ve been told I have to many team members). We go every weekend and always use the reports on this site to come up with a plan! Hang in there, you contribute to many who only read these posts and use the info to take their kids or wife’s fishing, and succeed because of your contribution! Thank you from an old salt!
1) I am not sure how that is relevant to this discussion.
2) That is a very subjective question. I guess it first depends on your definition of "help" or "hurt", and your definition of "fishing" (do you mean an individual's fishing, your charter business, the fishery itself, the increase in business at tackle shops, etc.).
3) Why don't you answer first?
I see an average report go two pages. Skinnee why am I not surprised you are the culprit?
It's actually not me. If I had to place the blame, I would put it on TTKarl. I just made one smart ass comment like I always do. It's nothing new. I'm actually surprised you guys aren't used to it by now. It's a very consistent pattern. I've been doing it my entire life. I was actually the first kid to get out of school suspension from Buist Academy, but that's another story.
But enough about me… TTKarl really got his panties wadded up in a precarious position. It’s not my responsibility to make sure people are happy with the things I say or if they wear their panties correctly. I don’t have a filter. I was just born that way… I’m probably entitled to a check from the government or something because of my condition, but just have not collected yet.
This whole process would go a lot smoother if you guys just realize that. There is no sense in fighting the truth. That is what www.floridasportsman.com is for. They have plenty of guys down there that have thin skins and are not open to ideas. Some of you would fit right in… If someone even sneezes in your direction, the moderator will kick you off. It’s really awesome the way it works down there. You can pretty much do as you please, cut people off, run over their lines, keep undersized fish, fish right up on them, pass starboard to starboard if you want. It’s a great place. There are no rules, no accountability… You would love it!!!
Oh, and Fritz, how is your rant about “clueless boaters” going for you in the Fishing discussion section? Well, I hope… Has anyone learned anything over there yet? Did the wait times at the ramps decrease? Have people start passing port to port yet? Let me know if you
No skin off my back. I’ll catch fish just the same at Y-73 next weekend regardless of your worry and next spring at the “not public” spot GT hole. Maybe I’ll even start a lets all buddy boat and raft up out there thread in the match-up. Let’s get the stick out and stir this pot first though… I saw two reports today that listed Y-73 specifically. Go get em Skinnee, sick em boy, sick em!!!
Okay, so you are allowed to twist this into a post about me “not helping fishermen” and being “anti-report”, but I am not allowed to twist this into a post about your sharing your exact locations? Who seems to be writing the rule book now? Can you give me a copy? Mine must be out of date.
I never said anything about not posting reports. I post them as well.
But honestly, if you don’t think people are going to target a specific reef when you tell them it’s crawling with b-liners and cobia, then there is nothing I can say to change your mind. Because we all know when people say, “Hey, I caught 15 people at the GT Hole”, there won’t be 100 boats out there on the next Saturday. Good thing that spot is not public. Or when people say, “Caught some nice cobia at the Broad River”, that won’t cause a mass movement of Yeti coolers and Natural light towards Beaufort. Or when people say, “So many ducks at Willtown Bluff last weekend”, it won’t be crawling with Camoflauge Clemson stickers the next Saturday.
I talk about “spots” all the time with people who I know personally. We communicate with a small device called a “phone”. I just don’t give exact locations on the WWW to millions of people who I have never met or seen. The funny thing is, you guys will be the first ones *****ing about people fishing too close to you the following week.
But, it’s nice to know that you don’t want to give up spots. So, you must value “secrecy” to some extent. But, what about the guys who ONLY have the DNR numbers and spent the last month trying to find the b-liners and cobia? They put in their time and effort and finally found pay dirt. And now, someone completely blows it for them. Do you not care to help those guys?

Also, we are still waiting on your numbers… There really isn’t a “private” spot out there. It’s all “public”.
You were so hurt that he said Y-73. I posted the link to every artificial reef in the central SC coast… Not sure what else your looking for.
It’s ok you can just admit you were wrong we’ll all move on and try to forget about it.

Again, I made a sarcastic comment. No pain was felt... My interpretation is that my sarcastic comment really got under your skin.
I’ve been pretty consistent for 13,000 posts now… Sarcasm is my thing… Maybe you should re-read my VERY FIRST post on this topic and think “Hmmm… Maybe he is being consistently sarcastic like his other 13,000 posts” and see if that sheds some light on how to interpret me…
I’m sure that there are about 200+ other people on this website that have met me in person who can tell you that I am just as sarcastic in person…
Wouldn’t it only make sense that I was “hurt” by the Y-73 comment if I actually fished on Y-73? I think I have been there 1 time in the last decade just to see what it looks like with SCUBA gear on. I don’t use it… I just fish on your “private” bottom numbers when you are not there. And yes, I do have them… So yes, I can answer the internal question you are struggling with now? “Can skinnee really have been being sarcastic? Does he really have an attachment to a place that he doesn’t even fish?”… Sarcasm… It’s what’s for dinner!!!

Awhile back I used to get so pissed off at SOME of Skinnys remarks, but after using the same therapist he recommended, all is well…no more stress:stuck_out_tongue:! From him lol:stuck_out_tongue:.
i just sit back and get total stress relief after a tough day at work reading this stuff.
Took me awhile to realize that he wants and is working in some capacity to help all of us retain our fishing rights. He should be on the SAFMC council.
Skinny is actually on your side, you just don’t realize it.
On a side note, did y’all know Phin holds the Hogfish world record??

Same here, just need to learn the personalities. It takes time

For some reason, that is really bothering someone:stuck_out_tongue:! If Wes wasn’t wrapped up in boat restoration for a couple of years, that record would be 25 lbs lol.
BTW, no dog in the hunt, arrogant BS with an apparent agenda gets my goat!
