Nice try, but you all used to be Jaguars. When a reporter wrote an article that the team “fought like Gamecocks” and you already had Garnet/Black colors, you switched.
No arguments about our origin. We took our colors and mascot from Auburn since the football program was formed with their help. Purple and orange wasn’t our original school color, just the football team until the rest of the University adopted it as well.
Tanner said he was still around campus,I bet that was a tough one for him to watch,Hall Of Fame coach and all…
He needs to leave.I heard they were looking at keeping him around campus for some type of BS or another. No good coach is going to come if sos is on salary and hovering around campus. And, Tanner let sos put them in this situation. He may not be that good of an AD. Maybe he should go too?

Curious, not watching a game makes SOS less of a coach? Let’s be honest, he is a great Coach. Put his record against any Clemson coach, and let’s Juxtapose…
Plain and and simple, he did what he thought was right at the time. He comes from a stable upbringing as his father was a Presbyterian Pastor. Ethics are an everyday event for him. Let’s juxtapose Dabo, and his upbringing. SOS has a NC and a great family story. No matter how much Dabo tries, he’ll never have a Heisman trophy he can call his own…
Wonder if Dabo’s ever quit on his team 1/2 way through a season?

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

At his press conference, when Spurrier announced that he was quitting , he said he would come to some games as well as watch some. Thought maybe if he was there, at halftime he could have given Elliot some advice on stopping the triple option, you know that Heisman ,National Champ kind of advice.
Spurrier was the coach from 2005-2015 ,he was responsible for that team on the field yesterday,I wanted to know where he watched it.

Fair enough. But I sure don’t want SOS giving any advice… He is a great Coach, but he just doesn’t have the passion anymore. Some folks can coach well into their 70s wit

Dabo is a good guy. I didn’t care for him at first, but he has grown on me. His story from a personal background is better than SOS from the perspective he didn’t have a good upbringing. I am glad his father overcame his addiction and atoned for his past with Dabo before his death. Sounds like he turned into a great father.
If Dabo keeps it up at the pace he is on, and when Saban leaves… What do you think Dabo will do when they come calling… In his heart, he’s all Crimson and Houndstooth…
When is the sunshine of those 11 win seasons gonna tarnish and you faithful SOS loyalists realize he screwed you dry?
Text I got yesterday from USC guy, can’t make this stuff up.
“Rumors that he was letting his wife influence his position of his son (which is an awful recruiter and coach) because she wanted to keep them together and get him to a head coaching job and I’ve only heard one source on this but somebody said possibly a case of dementia where spurrier was asked why he called plays and he said he never called them but I take that with a high grain of salt”

How did SOS screw USC dry? The most winnest coach, 3 11 wins seasons, 5 straight on CU. Your argument is silly. One thing he did do was leave USC with a whole lotta dry powder to use. He left no legacy debt…
C’MON MAN… There are plenty of coaching screw ups by CU:
Charlie Pell, left the team to head to UF.
Ken Hatfield RESIGNED BEFORE THE END OF THE SEASON. Heck, CU was going to a bowl game and he resigned because… well I won’t go there…
Tommy Bowden - You folks preach about a Coach leaving the team… Well how about the University leaving the Coach. If you challenge SOS character regarding leaving his team… Then what does that say about Clemson University… They left their coach out high and dry…
I’ll research, but I don’t believe South Carolina has ever FIRED a coach mid-season in the modern era which says a lot about the institution. Coaches are fluid, but the character of the institution is more important.
Think about your argument, it makes CU look bad as an INSTITUTION for QUITTING on their head coach Tommy Bowden mid season. Why didn’t CU wait until the end of the season before quitting on their
