Haven’t read too many reports and so will let you know we went to various spots in the South Edisto area today. Last of the outgoing and first of the incoming. Docks and deeper areas with a current. What a beautiful day with warmer weather and a great breeze. Found bait around the mouth of a creek and filled up in two casts. Our routine is to fish an area for ten or fifteen minutes and move on if nothing is happening. Fished five spots today and caught ten trout (two keeper size), four reds (two keeper size) and two large sheepshead (big surprise, caught on our normal redfish rig with a hook, leader and minimal weight). All on shrimp, mullet and silver jig with a green tail or a trout trick. It has been a tough summer for us, maybe our luck will change as the weather cools. See you all out there.
