Went out Friday and hit the beach with Mr. Parker. We did pretty good landing a mixed bag of fish. We found nice spot with bars and troughs and fished the out going tide with fresh shrimp. Everything hit shrimp with the exception of the red that hit a big chunk of cut whiting. The sharks gave us hell and we had at least ten solid runs with poles bent over ripping off line. We were geared up for fish, and they all got away except for one small 3 ft black tip. They easily bite through our mono leaders and tail slapped through our lines with no problem whatsoever. I will revisit the toothy critters on another day, with the proper tackle and hopefully have a better outcome. The final tally was a decent amount of whiting, couple of nice rays, couple of pin fish, couple trout, a blacktip, couple of black drum and one nice red. Saturday-not so much. Hit it solo and caught a mess of whiting, a big lady, and a tiny flounder. I wish the flounder was caught the day before, but it wasn’t . Oh well. Good luck out there folks, take care:smiley:

When you see “Old Glory” waving in the breeze, know that it is the dying breaths of our fallen hero’s that makes it wave.

Thanks everyone. Gail we are all well except Grace. She is a little crabby it’s just too hot for her to sit on the beach with triple digit temps for 8 hour spans and her bum leg. Set to operate on her soon and get her back to normal hopefully in time for the Fall mullet run. I can’t believe in two months it’s October, we could use some cool weather. Papa you better take a Daddy day soon, good to hear from you.
good report
thank you
Awesome catch Runbabyrun and great photos…except I don’t se any of Grace…how is she doing?
