As a new sponsor for multiple businesses here I really look forward to using this. It is a fine line of SPAM we walk while trying to get our message out. I think having a dedicate area where people know what they are walking into is a great idea. No one wants to mess up the local feel of the site and it’s close knit community.

This is a good idea.
You may need to police it though, there are times I’ve seen similar sponsor forums become a place for that one unreasonable customer to come and spout a bunch of crap.
