TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona’s Rich Rodriguez has turned down an offer to become South Carolina’s coach, a move confirmed by his current athletic director on Twitter.

well I found this in -30 seconds,then this…

Rodriguez met with South Carolina officials this past week to talk about becoming the replacement for Steve Spurrier. Rodriguez knows the state after serving as Clemson’s offensive coordinator from 1999 to 2000, but turned down an offer to head back to South Carolina.

The arfizona ad is doing damge control with his fanbase after their head coachput his name in the hat for an SEC job. Rich Rod was never offered the job.

We out performed them in every way possible. A phantom call would not have changed the outcome. The better team won. Yes, it was a bad call. But if anyone watched the last Patriots game or the Packers game, those were incredibly worse than this as it definitely affected the outcome, and the better team did not win.

Only reason this is bad, is because the coots wanted us to lose. You all should just be happy that you will likely get to see Bama stomp a foot in our eye, and get to chant SEC, SEC, SEC!

Better not watch TV today, your phantom call is the only mark on an otherwise great playoff system…

Forrest for the trees,Richard.

No chance UNC scores and gets a 2pt conversion. Clemson has had come through so many times the past two years on D when they had to.

Didn’t matter.

By the way they threw the flag Right when it was kicked. It was a bad call but obviously no agenda

Got no time to watch any negative talking heads today. They needed something to talk about after there weren’t any upsets. Too busy enjoying my victory pizza.

How does your sore loser pizza today.

Exactly, the refs must be pretty good if they know Clemson is not going to catch it 3 yards before it gets to them.

In actuality UNC was lined up wrong. You need to be inside the 9 yard hash marks and out of the neutral zone. I have yet to see a replay where you can see without a doubt the UNC player wasn’t leaning over the LOS at the kick. They also had a player lines up incorrectly on both sides of the field.

The better team won. Clemsons special teams continue to be a major liability.

Muschamp to Usc. How’s it feel to have a head coach that turned you down for a d coordinator spot last year?

Just got one of the best recruiters in the country for the DC position and hopefully get a half-way decent OC. No where to go but up for SC. Congrats on the win

Because no team was able to score on Clemson in the final minutes of a game all season?

Not to win the game, no. 13-0

Didn’t matter it was the right call.

Did you watch the end of the Notre Dame game?

Yes. Didn’t we stop their 2pt conversion? Think we did.

Was the targeting a bad call yes it was, Green turn his shoulder in.

Are you kidding? Where his shoulder was is irrelevant, his helmet went head to head. Easy call even for ACC officials, and the review took about 3 seconds …

He didn’t lead with his head, he led with his shoulder. Now, the play where Watson had to go out a play, that was leading with the helmet.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I was there… the targeting call was right, as was the offside. NO ONE WAS LEANING OVER THE LINE… the kickers plant foot was ahead of the ball when he kicked off. Perhaps a trivial call, but it looked to be so to me in the replays. No doubt the officiating sucked, as it has all year; but bad calls ( and non-calls) went both ways.

Having just gotten home when I posted this, I went back a reviewed the video… there was no offsides, that I see.

But if you look at the stats from the last several weeks where Clemson had 500 + yards offense… we won that game statistically and on the scoreboard. In spite of whatever is said about the refs

Clemson safety #15 was out of control the entire game. Kids get over emotional, and he was frothing at the mouth from the kickoff. Don’t think for a moment that officials don’t notice that stuff. The kick returner baited the safety by standing still, and not signaling for a fair catch. It looked to me that the kick returner dropped his head below his pads at the last second and #15 ended up contacting helmet on helmet. That was it for him, and the officials sent a message…“quit jackin’ around, and just play ball”. Clemson was a freak show with the penalties, dropped balls, and losing contain on UNC’s quarterback. CU gave away points to UNC like free doughnuts to the cops on St. Patrick’s Day. Watson, and finally Gallman, layed the smack down on UNC’s top rated defense. I will give kudos to UNC’s corner’s…they played some tight man coverage all game long. The punter, that freshman Special Team player along with #15, need to be running the stadium steps till they puke pepperoni and crap mozzarella cheese, and show it on the jumbotron to all the fans at the pizza party who had to witness that idiocy last night. For once I’d like to see some Lombardi from Dabo instead of dance moves. They pull that stuff against Oklahoma, and they’ll be saying…“wait till next year”.

I agree that the punt returner dropped his head, and yes it was a VERY highly charged game… BOTH directions. There were non- calls both way in regards to unsportsman like conduct.

At least they got the chance to attempt one.

Not to split hairs but the Kickers plant foot being over the line doesn't mean he is offsides. That is allowed for Kickers

If the offsides wasn’t called this missed targeting would have forced a rekick anyway. The face that UNC was lined up wrong also would have caused a rekick. Only difference is that UNC would be missing a player for their bowl game if the targeting had been called.
