Air show by boat. Trying to take our 2 year old daughter, she is big time into her airplanes right now.
I am coming from Sheldon, considering anchoring behind Jack Island (Google Earth geotag) that should be right inline with the end of the NE runway. I need to keep it under about a half hour run from the house before the little one will get impatient. That spot will only be about 15 minutes away for us.
I’m familiar with the waters, just never really considered the perspective of trying to get best angle for air show.
Family and I will be on second set of docks from 21 bridge headed off shore. So far weather looks good. Hoping for a mess of crabs and what ever may bite the kids poles with a chunk of shrimp on it.
Great Air show ran a couple of boats near the Governor’s dock and then back to the dock. Caught and a few whiting, couple of decent black tips and to top it all off 3 Logger Head turtles! First for all of us this far inshore. All three dehooked and released. All caught within 50 yards of each other and 10 min apart. Slack low.
Had front row at Air Show and WOW! I have some awesome video on iPhone. Will say that the vid I have of the new/latest, F35B is sic!!!
Liftoff in 300’, came back from flight and hovered, rotated 90 degrees in every direction and paused with each maneuver. Also, while facing crowd, would have jet go sideways in both directions, to include backing up!!!
Narrator said it is the largest, single engine ever put in an aircraft!
