Amazed at the number of clueless people out there

Hmmmmmmm…Wont even go there! Good point though, there are a ton of Clemson fans or as I am, Graduates on the water. Thanks Clemson for giving me the ability to own expensive things and obtain high paying jobs! Let’s leave school relations out, I could go on for days about the things I’ve seen with a Chicken logo related.

My favorite is the one who fires up the motor to make sure it runs. THEN backs into the water with it running. Seen it too many times.

Saw this a few times. Could never figure out what they were doing. While backing down the ramp, guy fires it up, revs the old 2 stroke for some good smoke action right before it hits the water.
I guess I’ll have to ask next time.

People need to learn how their wake comes off their boat at different speeds and the benefits of planing off.

We spent a couple hours July 4th weekend posted up in tailgate chairs near the picnic benches at wappoo cut. Told my wife it was the best free entertainment around. Afterwards, she agreed!

On a quiet part of Lake Moultrie towing 4 kids on the tube, I noticed a power boat approaching from my left that I was going to pass in front of by probably 1000 feet. Kids being kids and pretty sure they were unaware of the nearby boat, 2 of them pushed each other out of the tube into the path of the oncoming boat. My observer yelled riders were out of the tube, so I immediately slowed hanging a left turn back to the kids. The boat that had been on my left was heading directly for the kids in the water, not slowing, not changing course! I immediately accelerated on a line between the kids and the oncoming boat, grabbing my air horn and blasting at the boat, they finally looked outside their boat and slowed and turned away from the kids. If the boat hadn’t altered course, I was prepared to ram it to save the kids.
I don’t think the other boat ever saw us until I was trying to pick up the kids. Don’t count on the right of way, or boater’s even looking outside. Scary!

Yes they do. It is better to just keep on haulin than to slow down to max wake speed like you are doing someone a favor.

They put in a paper test in Virginia a few years ago. Lots of complaining and it really didn’t fix the problem. You want to put a dent in it, require a drivers test (trailering, docking, ect). Never gonna happen but sure would be entertaining to watch.
