Fished from 7am-130pm. Caught 20 or so whiting. They were killing the finger mullet. Ran out of finger mullet 2 hours after i got there and the bite died down to a couple an hour with no mullet. Threw my shark rod out with a half a whiting with its head attached. A shark eventually picked it up. I let it eat it for about 20 seconds then slowly tightened the drag. Fish was hooked and pulling my line out so fast i tightened my drag near to full. Probably took a good 300 yards out without stopping. Then the gut dropping feeling when the tention drops. I had 10 yards of 80lb top shot and 5ft cable on and it broke off on the braid must have hit something on bottom. So half my daiwa bg 8000 is spool is gone lol. 40 passed his bad luck onto me. Going to head out again tommorow and try to get it.
