Any good creeks that can be fished from the banks?

Does anyone know of any good places to fish creeks from the banks? I don’t have a boat so I’m very limited by what I have access to. I’m already familiar with and have fished all the well-known spots like the boat landings, state/public parks (Steamboat Landing, Botany Bay, Jeremy Inlet, etc.), but I’m looking for some other spots that are more off the beaten path. A friend and I spent hours studying a map of Edisto. We had numerous spots marked out that we wanted to explore, but when we got there every one of them was posted as private property. We live 4.5 hours a way so needless to say we were disappointed after driving that far only to find that we couldn’t fish any of those spots. On the map they looked like public roads. We only make it down to Edisto for a few days about once or twice a year so we like to make the most of our fishing time while we’re there. We can’t afford a guide. We primarily target specks/reds. I realize that most folks don’t like to give specific locations (and I fully understand), but any info you could provide would be greatly appreciated. We will be down for a few days the first week of November. Thank you!</font id=“Arial”></font id=“black”>

The first big culvert after you cross the bridge onto Edisto. Fish on the north side. A gazillion trout have been caught there. Bob

ditto on that but watch the traffic it can be harry at times especially with the big campers rolling through there.

On the bike path in St Pk - about 3/4 the way to the shell mound there is a park bench to left on the creek on a big turn. Lots of dead trees in the water nearby. Have had better luck with bait under popping cork there as C-rigs get hung a lot. Hint- lots of boats fish there!

Best places from the hill on Edisto IMHO is:

  1. front beach on Botany Bay down to right by creek mouth.
  2. Jeremy Inlet
  3. Creeks on way in past Dawhoo

2nd on the culvert past first bridge on the island and the store creek bridge. If I had more spots from land I’d help, but never had much luck with reds/trouts from land. That’s not to say you can’t though. Have some buddies who used to live near ravenel and they would walk up and down public access points to creeks looking for grass flats and they had plenty of luck.
