anyone have any luck in the surf this past weekend? didn’t see any new reports. we fished edisto sunday midday, only caught a couple baby sharks on whiting. fished this morning at botany bay. i caught a big stingray and a few baby sharks. we saw a couple good sized sharks feeding in the surf but they didn’t seem interested in our whiting i guess.
Haven’t been in a couple weeks, but plan on going this Saturday to either Edisto or Botany Bay. The last time we went to Botany Bay I was standing knee deep and had about a 7 foot Shark swim past me along the beach, about 15 feet away. Got my attention PDQ. 
We fished iop on Friday and did ok. Lots of whiting, a lady fish, couple blues and small sharks. We did get one 4ft blacktip but nothing bigger. Also fished edisto on Saturday and didn’t have one bite. May try again tomorrow or Wednesday
Always catchin’ somthing. Just not worth braggin’ about. If I can dodge the thunder storm’s will try today and tomorrow afternoon.
Hit Breach Inlet area on Sunday. I’ve always hated fishing there…never catch much…so I avoid it. Hubby wanted to try it since we haven’t been there in over a year. Well, let me tell y’all…I’ll NEVER bad mouth that area again! Holy crap it was AMAZING. Whiting, spots, blues were ABUNDANT. I probably casted 40 times and only 3 casts didn’t bring in a fish. No joke.
I’ve been reading the forums for several years and have gained a lot of knowledge by reading other posters very helpful advice. Just wanted to pass our experience on to y’all. It was a heckuva day!
