New to the site and fairly new to Beaufort. Originally from the gulf coast now that I’m stationed here I’ve taken on the task of figuring out the local fish and water. I was hoping to take my boat out Sunday and I’m thinking about taking the coosaw down around SAMs point and a few other flats I’ve noticed on the map. Just wanted to know if anybody has seen or caught some good fish around the area? Spent last weekend up and down the broad but not too much luck. Any news or advice would be great!

I don’t agree, work on your presentation and the tide and location you fish.
Okay thanks. This fall was great fishing but these colder winter months have got me skunked. I would like to think with a sunny day today and a high of 64 tomorrow maybe we can see a little increase in the water temp. I am aiming for some flats and a few creeks tomorrow but I noticed the huge rock jetty on fripp. Anybody fish that lately?
I was throwing these early this winter and had a great response from the trout. Haven’t caught any reds yet but I’m sure they will take a bite out of it.
