Hey all. I’ve been in school and wanting to give the Mt. Pleasant pier a try early one morning. I’m just curious if anyone’s had any luck over at the Mt. Pleasant pier under the Ravenel Bridge for sheepshead. Also, how about trout and redfish? Hope to get some replies! Thanks!
Caught some nice sheeps last winter.
Look up Jigging Jerry on YouTube he does frequent reports on Mt. P. Pier.
Trout and sheepshead are both being caught at the Mt. Pleasant Pier. Trout typically during the last 2 hours of the outgoing and first 2 hours of the incoming tide using a variety of artificials or live shrimp.
Sheeps are biting, but you have to navigate through a lot of small ones to get to what you’re after. Seen several 4 - 6 pounders and rumors of larger, but haven’t laid eyes on those yet.
Thanks for the replies, y’all! Hope to get out there soon.
Both caught yesterday (1/16/16) on clams
Wow those are some big sheeps. Bet they put up a fight. Great catch.
