Any tips

I’m pulling the boat down there to meet up with my parents who are coming in. My dad is looking forward to doing some fishing. Are there any reefs or live bottoms other than those on the dnr’s list?

I’ve got a key west 1900 and I’m willing to do a 15 mile run I get nervous going any further… Anyway thanks in advance…

my family has been going to edisto for about 25 years now and i’m really looking forward to this trip hopefully the weather hold out for us…

thanks,
tim

If you’re only going 15 miles your best bet is the DNR marked reefs. Sometimes you will run up on some schooling fish especially spanish and blues, but the best live bottom is farther out than you feel comfortable going. That’s OK though cause the 4KI reef is within your reach and should offer you and your dad plenty of fun and a few fish too. What dates are you going down?
I’m going to be down 9/10-9/14. I’m going to haul the “creek boat” down instead of my CC.

I’m going to be down the 8th through the 12th. Hopefully this storm doesn’t mess things up… I’m thinking we might just spend the most of our time back in the creeks… the trout and reds should be hitting on top water lures… other than that I know he is looking forward to catching some kings and I’d like to try cast netting for some shrimp and setting a crab pot or two…

it’s all up to nature right now… I’m not worried about the storm but mom and dad are all scared…
I’m sure it will be here and gone by then

anyway maybe we can meet up one day and do some fishin… let me know

Key West 1900 with 125 merc.

The water may be really murky in the creeks if the storm comes close.

Let’s all pray it doesn’t come close to anybody.

Just trying to learn every bit I can about saltwater fishing…

Woody caught this red early this AM, 8# line on a Trout Trick. About a 15 min fight. Woody spent a long time making sure the fish was totally revived. Good job, Woody. The water has cleared up,somewhat, and my clients,Jim, Mathew, and Woody caught about 25 trout. They really zoned in on the reaction bite deal. Bob

Call Bob if you want to find the fish.

I’ll arrive 9/10 kinda late, but will stay till at least Sunday.
Kinda up in the air which boat I’m pullin. It all depends on the storm.
Maybe we can meet up one day and either fish or swap lies.
