Was invited to go offshore to troll the Edisto Banks yesterday, and we were one of a half dozen boats with the same good idea. Chatter on the radio said it wasnt a very good day, and despite us having six lines in the water we only managed one Barracuda.
We marked a few live bottom sites, and stopped to fish them on the way back. They produced Vermilion Snapper undersized BSBs and Rock Bass.
Heading back we made a point to stop at the 60 to check for Spadefish. We spent about 45 minutes looking for signs and checking the sonar, but didnt see any evidence that the Spades are here, or, at least here in any number. Of course, this can change tomorrow.
Water temp at the 60 was 72.5
