I don?t know about you, but I feel like I have insurance for my insurance! With the costs of insurance always on the rise my wife has taken on the task of comparison shopping our policies every couple of years. If you review three policies from three different providers your head will be spinning. I am so glad she has taken on the task of reviewing these as it gives me a headache as none of the offerings from the providers are ever the same so evaluating what you are getting for your money is very difficult. If you are like me you are trying to save money in 2014 so you may find yourself evaluating your current insurance. If you are looking to spend more money in 2014 in the form of a new boat, then you will definitely be evaluating insurance for your new ride. Provided below are some tips from Sea Insure on some base questions to ask on policy coverage. This is by no mean meant to be a promotion for Sea Insure; but instead a quick guide to some very important aspects to evaluate on policy types. CharlestonFishing.com has several insurance providers that have sponsored the site for many years. I would highly recommend checking with these guys as you evaluate your options.

Questions to ask as boat show season approaches
How does your insurance coverage measure up? As you make the rounds at boat shows this year, here are a few questions to ask other insurance agents while shopping for the best coverage:
- Does your policy offer replacement cost coverage? Sea Insure does. If your boat is less than two years old, and you experience a total loss, then you have the option of replacing lost property with new property.
- Does your policy offer agreed value coverage? If not you may get an unpleasant surprise in a claim when you find that your policy significantly depreciates the value of your boat. At Sea Insure we offer agreed value on all policies
