Just curious…I’ve always thought about buying the equipment to make my own rigs, but I’ve always put it off and kept using store bought stuff. What kind of investment (tools, supplies, etc.) would I be looking at to get into this ?

Rick ; it’s all in your prefrence , buy an assortment of hooks for targeted fish , leader line 25-50 lb , assorted swivels , beads , snaps , and crimp sleeves…
As noted above. I tie all my riggin so i only have hooks and lead to contend with. after a little practice tying them you can change st up
in just a few minutes. My rigs are usually tied out of same test leader as to the top shot i’m useing…it’s just my way, no better/worse than others!!!

I love me some Peanut M&M’s too. ! My fishing snack of choice!
I use the single and double drop rigs like David shows here, but I also tie my own dropper loops sometimes too. All you need is leader, hooks, swivels and “magic” beads. I use a really short fish finder rig for bigger hooks with cut bait. On the Outer Banks they call it a drum rig. the idea is that the shorter leader makes it less likely that a big over slot fish will be gut hooked.
