Are you ready?

Just recieved a batch of my Super Special Magic Beaded rigs, I’m ready for a hopefully busy fishing season.

Got 25 shark leaders with the good Owner hooks. Made 50 red rigs with #5’s and 50 smaller sets with #2’s. No need to be tying rigs on the beach when the bite is on. Snap on-snap off. Now if the good Lord would bless Grace and I with a few fish. I’d be good. Wishing everyone the best this season. Post um up. Go get um David:smiley:

Heck ya, I’m ready. Leaving in about an hour for the first trip of the year. Headed to Folly.

I just have to re-rig my poles a little, but should be ready to go soon. Need to get out this weekend or possibly Monday

DP if you don’t mind a couple questions. Is that a one or two hook bottom rig? Also do you clip you hooks right to the snap lock or use a snelled hook? Hooks?

I make mine up ahead of time myself and always used the red beads. Pomps like them. Just curious on your tackle. I love your post- you got the beach reading down pat!

Sea Striker 40# double drop, #2 Eagle Claw 084 hooks, 15# mono main line. The swivels are rated 30#. I also crimp them closed so they can’t come un-snapped. Never had a problem with these rigs failing. The hooks I use are the week point. I buy bulk, 50/100pcs. Always well under $1.00 per.

Don’t buy the Hurricane brand mono rigs, have had a number of them fail.

D ; do you feel the beaded rigs and snaps are worth the expense and catch more fish??? I’ve been fishing single , double ,and 3 drop rigs for 60 yrs and have always used a continuous drop loop to rig as many hook as wanted , nothing in water for fish to see except hook, bait ,and lead weight!!! just wondering…

Well I don’t suppose the rigs are any more visible than one of these?

i also tie my own surf rigs. spool of 25lb ande, some beads and some #1 eagle claw khales and i can make infinite rigs. takes about 2min per once you got your stuff out. Not hating on the premade rigs, and i have a box of them that i give to folks fishing with me who dont know how to make their own. I just try and save a little coin here and there where i can. thats a nice trout did it eat shrimp or cutbait? i have caught all three of my PB surf trout when the water was chocolatey like that and i was shocked to catch them in that dirty water.

Gail I know Mr. Parkers Achilles heel:smiley: P-nut M&M’s in the yellow bag. It’s like kryptonite. The only thing that slows him down. When the bite turns on. I load him up:smiley:

Beautiful fush Lunker. You have had a “great” start this season.

Thank you baby! It was on strip cut mullet. Casted into pretty choppy surf. It was definitely a surprise to catch it.
