Go Army:smiley:
Go Navy, Beat Army!
Congratulations to Army. The streak is over!
There’s always next year!
Well, it had to end sooner or later. Navy losing their starting QB last week certainly did not help. The new QB looked shell-shocked by half-time. Still, Navy had every opportunity to win. Who in the hell called for a punt with 3:48 left?
I always tear up at the end when Navy sings Navy Blue & Gold. My Dad played at Navy in the 50’s. We took a guys trip up for a game years ago, it was great. Would love to go to the Army-Navy game one day. Regardless of who wins that game, they’re all winners (participation trophies aside), they are all great young men.
“Apathy is the Glove into Which Evil Slips It’s Hand”, but really, who cares?
DFreedom, I agree with you, all are serving their country proudly!
When I was living in MD my house was only about a 20 minute drive from the Naval Academy. We went into Annapolis often so many times got to talk to some of those guys & gals. I make it a point of shaking hands & thanking them for their service, any of them who serve!
Also, my one son was in the Navy for 6 1/2 years. He would have made it a career but ruptured a disc in his back & was booted on a medical discharge. He was a Nuke on a sub. He’s now attending the Citadel looking to become an electrical engineer.
I root for Navy during those games, but once the games over I root for & give the utmost respect to all of them!
