Haven’t had much time to fish this year with moving, screening porch, health issues, wife’s surgery etc. Also keep getting told I post too much…and I know I do have a big mouth that likes to run off at times…
That said…I’m baaaccckkk!
I fished yesterday. Started the day with this 30 incher on second cast. 1st cast was a good bit bigger…maybe 35 inches or so, but hook straightened out right at boat. Anyway…I was making good on a trip I donated to March of Dimes and we ended the day with 40 or 45 red fish to 30 inches, plus a few trout. Got into trout once, but lady fish moved in and quickly spoiled the bite. Kept four for dinner. Reds bit shrimp, mud minnows and Gulp jerk shad. Trout bit shrimp and artificial shrimp.
A beautiful day, with a crisp fall cool morning to start . It was so great to be on the water again…wish I was back out today!
