Bait and Tackle

I’ll be in town later today and I need to pick up some rattle corks and some live bait to get started with. Any recommendations?

Also, any boat ramps to stay away from? I hate to find out the hard way…

Thanks in advance!

Grayco has a nice selection also, 136 Sea Island Pkwy on Lady’s Island…good people…

Thanks for the replies.

We are staying on Lady’s Island and I planned on fishing around there, so I’ll check out Grayco first. What’s the best ramp to use for fishing around St. Helena for redfish, trout, flounder, ect? I was thinking about using Sam’s Point, but I would like to fish the other side of the island as well…

I had a bearing problem one time as I turned on to Station Creek/County Landing road kind of later one evening (the gouge is still there on the road from the trailer dragging), but a cop ended up pulling up even though we didn’t call him. He was shocked that we didn’t have a gun with us. He said it was a really rough area.

Thanks for the help guys. We’ve only caught trout so far, but they’re fun. GULP under a rattle is out producing anything else. Hope to catch some reds and flounder before we head back Sunday.

Thanks again!
