Finally, my one week at wonderful Edisto is almost here. We are headed down Saturday the 17th. I have only 2 questions. We normally find bait in big bay on the way out, is the bait there this year or do I need to go somewhere else? Also, I have been wanting to take my boat farther out but, not without a buddy boat. I have been to the Edisto 40. If anyone is heading out next week I would love a chance to tag along. I have a 20ft center console, more of a bay style, 140 4 stroke and a 72 gallon fuel tank. If the seas are right and someone is head out please let me know.

Lately the menhaden are harder to find (for me) and they seem to be schooled up below the surface even 10-15 ft down. Watch your sonar for black blobs and cast and let it sink to the bottom before retrieving. There are lots of mullet schools working the grass lines, but shrimp seem to be few and far between.

Couldn’t find the pogies anywhere. We were gonna head out to the forty but a little too rough. So we sat in t South Edisto and caught some shark. Good for a pull but ended the day a little disappointed.
