Heading down to HHI for the week and plan for a one day fishing trip 28 March. Anyone seeing bait inshore yet? Hoping to net some mullet or menhaden to take out to a reef if possible but I know the water is still a little cool. Any advise on finding bait in the area would be appreciated. Also I will buy bait to be safe, anyone have a favorite live bait shop near the north side of the island that could use some business.

There were a good bit of mullet further up Chechesse Creek 3 weeks ago but not easy to net. Southern Drawl Outfitters just before the bridge from Bluffton to Pinckney Island usually has mud minnows and may have shrimp.
