Bait store shrimp vs grocery store?

Any difference between the two when it comes to buying frozen shrimp?
I’ve seen big bags of whole shrimp with shell and head for sale at costco. I’ve not checked the prices but it seems like it’s gotta be cheaper than buying the little packages from the tackle shop.

buy fresh shrimp… local if possible. use the ones you would eat… peel em and cut em in smaller pieces. plus if you dont catch anything you can eat the shrimp

much better than frozen imo.

The best shrimp comes from the oriental people on the side of the road. The best place to find them is behind Maxway on Rivers.

sewer shrimp catch nothing

Well I must say then, I have caught a ton of fish off of sewer shrimp. If you are looking for good shrimp try the docks where the shrimp boats are or try your local seafood markets.

What are sewer shrimp?

It is what people call trash shrimp.

i usually buy from a local seafood market and have pretty good luck with them when fish are biting. having seen many bumper stickers down here that say “friends dont let friends eat import shrimp” one could probably take 1 guess what sewer shrimp would be.

So if not live you guys prefer fresh never frozen shrimp. I read an article about shrimp and they mentioned most of the “fresh” shrimp found in grocery stores was already frozen then thawed for display and sale.

Buy from crosbys… They have their own boat lol

I get mine from Crosby’s. It’s local caught, not imported.

Ya know, it must be nice living in Neverneverland. Remind me to come visit you, when I need a break from reality.
