Interesting article in yesterday’s State. A poll showed more in our state to be Gamecock fans, but Dabo was more popular than Spurrier. I wonder if that’s always been the case (seriously doubt it), or if sentiments have changed in the last year.

That’s because USCjr is obsessed with DABO. OBC was, and still is a great coach but he isn’t ALL-IN like Dabo is. You can’t have a HC that hates recruiting.

My brothers cousin best friend mom told me that no one like clowney.

85 scholarship players and not one like playing for him? Come on.

It’s not 1 out of 6 years, try 11 out of the last 18 the Tigers have taken! Funny how you can manipulate the numbers.
But we all know the dirtpeckers started playing football in '09…

The Gamecocks had their chance to do great things while Tenn,UGA and Florida were down…Oh well, that was fun while it lasted.

Would you say that Georgia Tech has dominated Clemson thru the years?

This crap again Fish? Your sisters cousins best friend is very different that one of my closest friends, who was clowney’s tutor, telling me something Clowney told him directly.

I’ve known her for 12 years and she is not even a sports fan and has zero reason to make something up out of the blue.

Talk about kids messing up a an adult conversation…

Clowney like Clowney.

All I’m saying is that you are using hearsay as merit for no one likes playing for the coach.

It is Hearsay. It is 1 player. And that player got called out by that coach for basically being lazy.

Ok that’s fair Fish.

While I don’t have proof it does not seem like many of the players care of him or the team. If they did would you have so many guys leaving early for the NFl who had no business doing so? I"m sure some of those transfers left for that reason as well. 10 is a ton even if a few were pushed out.

At Clemson you have 1st and 2nd team all-american’s coming back for their senior year…

So first we had all the recruits were leaving because Spurrier was not going to be around and now we have, “nobody wants to play for him”, I can’t keep up.

Just speculation Fritz…

no one wants to play for him.
AND
no one wants to NOT play for him.

It’s that easy

I could see the love hate thing. Dude seems to be a douche…calling out his players in the media etc…but in the end he is a HOF coach.

A hysterical douche I might add. He is funny.

No doubt.

Look, he is our coach, but he is an azz. I think there is happy medium between throwing your players under the bus and being a pom pom toting champion of your players.

We have both extremes in this state. I don’t like either.

now that I think about it seems both coaches have changed from such extremes.

You don’t see Dabo doing the rah rah thing often anymore. After we beat OSU and then Oklahoma he was all business during is interviews.

Then with the ole ball sac you can tell he is getting a bit softer. He didn’t talk as much smack, or call out individual players this year from what I recall.

OBC was ready to get a drunk on,no time for talking smack.

Spurrier has done an incredible job with a “never-been” program. It is what it is. Better keep him around as long as possible.
