Went there for the first time the other night. Top notch Sushi. I thought it was better than Tsunami and Sushi Haro and I love Sushi Haro. Great atmosphere and excellent food. I noticed an unusually large # of early 40 something year old females. All upper tier.
I won’t include Infusions in comparison since they will be out of business by the time I finish this sentence.
I went to Tsunami Monday night for the first time and I wasn’t impressed with the sushi…… I mean it was ok but not great. I love Sushi Haru; it’s the best that I have found in Mount Pleasant. Now I will have to search out Bamboo !!!
WTB, if you’re ever in he upstate, There’s a place in Greenville called Sushi Masa that is outstanding. This guy is old-school and he will educate you on how sushi is supposed to be prepared. I can easily drop $50-60 bucks in there. He always has Toro, Uni, and live scallop and they’re always fresh.

has anyone actualy been to infusions? i know no one that has been
We went the first week it was open. It was slammed. I thought it was decent. Their infused vodka’s are pretty good. The wife wasn’t too impressed.
Went with a buddy of mine about a month ago and it was dead. Seems to be a common trend at that locale.
Yeah Slowpoke, I really like Sushi Haro. When we lived in Greenville we used to alternate between Tsunami and that place off Pleasantburg. The name slips my mind.
Sushi Masa is on Pelham drive, just past I-85. I love that place and eat there everytime I go to Greenville. It’s a small place with a nice environment: Sumo and Baseball on the T.V.
They also have these fried oysters that are better that anything I have had in a seafood joint. Fried in Panko and servered with this worcestershire sauce that is from Japan. It’s different because the worcestershire sauce is sweet. Man I could go for some now with a cold Sapporo beer.
I have eaten twice at infusions and I have to say it was enjoyable both times. In fact my second trip was for my B-day,which I requested because of the first time I stumbled on it I was so impressed. I felt the sushi was excellent, the drinks were good, scenery was great, and the price was low in relation to other joints. On my B-day the owner came in,said a few kind words and bought my whole party a drink. I have not been since Jan, but I had highly recommend it based upon my experiences.
bamBu was really good sat outside at a big table we were Buying alot of drinks between the 8-10 of us the owner came out and bought us a round of shots and appoligized for the sushi taking a long time sushi was great! fun was had by all! UNTIL I got my check and My fried rice was 20$ ~~WTF I dont even look at the menu sometimes at sushi places i ask how much the tuna is order 15- 20 bones worth and a side of fried rice… well this fried rice had lobster and steak in which I couldnt even really notice… Im sure it was the 9 coors lights but i was felt a little flamed up about a 20$ bowl of rice… other than that itw as awsome one of the best outside seating arrangements in town… ohh ya the owners wife was in a playboy and is a serious dime piece!!!

just figured out thats my boy fish’s place! anyone who know’s mark knows he has been in charleston F&B forever. first class individual! i WILL be going there soon for some good eats.
No way, Mark owns that place, I thought Billy and Sam were in it also, at least thats what Sheila told me she heard from Betty who had a one night stand with one of the Cooks…
I have yet to eat at Bamboo. Tsunami is less than desireable. The first sign that Tsunami isn’t a good sushi place is that they offer way too many items on their menu that are “spicy” or contain spicy mayo. That allows them to hold on to fish for a longer amount of time… I have had sushi many times at every place in town. In my opinion, the absolute best and most consistant is Wasabi, downtown.

dont hate me cause i know everybody… hater… nice pics on face book by the way… looks like you scored some sweet powder this year at snowshoe… congratz…
I went to infusions last weeekend to have a beer on the top deck. The menu looks great. I love curry…and they have 3 curry dish selections. Their Sushi menu is really unique. I like it b/c if you have a frind that does not like seafood (weirdo) then they offer alternative sushi rolls. They have a few rolls that include filet and teryiaki chicken. Never seen those options before. I cant wait to try their food.
Its unfortunate that every resturaunt in that location fails. The view is great from the top deck! It seems like it would be a good investment…then “bam” the unlucky investor gets crushed. The business owners need to market more…especially with the competition on the other side of the creek.
MYABI’S in West Ashley, By far the best sushi in town. The area is great and price is fair. It is a bit crowded but the sushi bar is seperated from the hibachi so it is nice and calm…
Peace And Ease
Everyone should believe in something, I believe I’ll go fishing !!!
Myabi’s was the best. Staff changes in the Sushi bar (I think his name was yami) took them down a notch or two in my book. Its not so much the restaurant as the Sushi chef. When you get to know them by becoming regulars it gets better and better! Another guy, Tommy left Myabi’s and is now working at Infusions. I tried them out and was impressed, but it may have been because Tommy made the sushi. Anyway thats my .02
