Absolutely. To each his own with his own regard to safety and how they run their boats. You are not going to put a speed limit on the water as CL has already stated.

There is one thing that is not being considered here. These guys are “Professional Bass Fisherman”, most spend 200+ days are year on the water, running 70+ mph in all types of conditions. Wind, Waves, Rain, sticks, stumps, rocks and sometimes snow in all sorts of lakes and rivers. I’m sure they have gotten pretty good and running fast…safely.
I’d love to see the data to support the fish kill from these tournaments you guys are coming up with. Bass tournaments have been fished on fisheries such as this (fresh water/salt water in close proximity) for years and given the heightened nature of “animal rights” in this country, I assure you some group of granola munching tree huggers would’ve “raised awareness” and protested the mutt out of them if that was the case. I’ve fished bass tournaments in tidal fisheries up and down the east coast since the 80’s and have never witnessed such a thing. I understand human nature tends to steer some towards negativity when they’re confronted with something they don’t understand but some of these “concerns” are unfounded and unsupported. Tidal fisheries and lakes with lock systems have tournaments on them countless times throughout the year and have for decades yet no state or federal agency has ever pulled the panic alarm about fish populations suffering or plummeting from the “relocation issues” some of you brought up. There are plenty of “activists” out there that choose to beat their dum ignoring facts or fabricating apacolyptic results so surely we don’t need to add fuel to their fire. There are more state DNR/wildlife and fisheries agencies all across the country that praise bass fishing organization for the lengths they go to in order to preserve fisheries and the fish they catch from them. Poachers and other wrong-doers have far greater negative impacts.
In the future, where every stranger poses a potential threat, knowing the predator mindset is the only safe haven.

How much experience do you have fishing from the Sampit River area? I’m sure none. If you have fished tournaments as you say you have, you KNOW certain circuits do a poor job of keeping fish alive. Bottom line-you are a poser. Those of us that actually participate know the deal.

You constantly antagonize the dogsh** out of everyone and disagree just for the sake of disagreeing. You don’t know squat about me or what I know. You sit with your little keyboard stroking yourself every time you type some smart a$$ comment to someone. However you want to get your jollies off is fine, but there are better ways.

No, I just antagonize those who speak when they shouldn’t. CF has a great thing going, and lots of folks come to this site to gain information. It confuses the masses when you continually produce false and unfounded statements.

And stay in hotels, eat in restaurants, and buy from local retailers.
Plus the larger tournament bodies like the Elite Series and the FLW Tour level have a traveling expo at each event. Vendors and tournament sponsors set up booths there and there are all sorts of family friendly activities at these expos.
