BCS?

How will be in the top 5? mine are
Bama
Oregon
OSU
FSU
Baylor

Since I know USC will not be in the top 25…But will Clemson be?
I’m not sure. I think they should be but points matter and SOS matters. With the home beat down and UGA loosing again, it hurts.

Here is Jerry Palm’s prediction.

I would be surprised if USC and CU are ranked that high.
But what are your top 5.

Bama
Oregon
FSU
Ohio State
Baylor

In my opinion, Clemson is a legit top 6 or 7 team.
SC is a legit top 12 or 14 team.

It was a tough week for a lot of schools. The polls still respect Georgia as they should. Just because UGA had a handful of great players happen to get hurt mid season, shouldn’t discredit the teams they played early on.

The problem is that the computers don’t care about injuries.

Cpmputers will like FSU more than Oregon, so i think FSU will be 2nd. After the first two, who cares!

FSU should be second. Dominating the number 3 team makes you an obvious candidate for second place. I think Bama will have their hands full with Jameis

Oregon is more deserving of the #2 spot, in my opinion.

The computers look at SOS. And the teams that Clemson has beaten, didn’t help out.
UGA lost
NCSTATE DNP
WF beat Maryland
Cuse lost
BC DNP

Every time a team you beat loses your SOS goes down. This is why the BCS waits. The human poll(preseason) makes it hard for a team to drop if they win, regardless of the opponent.

It will be interesting to see, but I don’t see FSU over Oregon. right now

That makes 0 sense. Using your same logic, Oregon has beaten:

Virginia (2-5)
UT (4-3) 3 of those victories are over stellar teams such as Austin Peay, Western Kentucky, and South Alabama. Went OT with a crappy GA team, so their only victory worth anything is over USC.
Cal (1-6)
Wash (4-3
Wa St (4-4)

Please, point out which one of those wins is more significant than beating Clemson.

The point is that FSU just beat #3. But #3 looks less impressive because of the beating and because the teams they beat don’t win.
When CU beat UGA. it was huge, but if UGA loses every game after that, then it really wasnt that huge.
As I said the human vote makes it hard to move a team from the top spot.

UGA didn't lose every game after that if my memory serves me correctly.

Anyone with any sense voting will see it the same way. FSU’s victory over Clemson should pretty much cement them the number 2 spot, considering they were number 5 coming into the game. Either way, this is all conjecture that we’ll figure out shortly

I see your logic but, seldom will you see a current #2 that wins, unseated by a lower team just because they beat a team ranked higher than them. Kind of unfair as if you start high and keep winning, it takes a miracle to go past them.

I didnt say uga did lose every game. I said IF. I was make a point but I guess it was useless…For you

I would rather see FSU and Oregon play than Oregon and Bama. Or FSU and Bama

Nice call ED. Not a lot of analysis and hot air. Just logic.

23sailfish, after reading edistodaniel’s post above, can you explain why you think Oregon is more derserving of #2? Is it just hoping they are not a pretender this year as opposed to the other years they have looked like this after 7 games or is it just 'cause?

Only in the human polls. The computers will jump FSU in the BCS.
