I was coming back into Shem last night late and saw what was probably a 24-26ft center console that had run all the way up on crab bank; completely dry. I offered assistance, they declined, said all passengers were okay, and tow boat was in route. Anyone have further details?

Where exactly is crab island? I have fished out of Shem Creek twice and I know you have to make a hard left once you get passed the piers. I idled out by the markers on my first trip and saved the track. I did this during low tide. Is there another shallow area passed the nav markers?

if you didn’t make a hard left you would run slap into Crab Bank…

Crab bank is on the port side as you leave Shem. Mud flat on the starboard side.
Hug the crab bank side and you will be fine.

With all the dredging going on, I think it’s a shame they won’t dredge Hog Channel a little bit at Crab Bank. But it does add some bemusement at the folks that venture a little too close to Patriots Point.

I’ll stay with my original post. I’m betting a little speed and some alcohol was involved.

with them trying to hand dig that boat off I’d say alcohol might STILL be involved!

I’m imagining Bo and Luke Duke driving a boat.
That boat would more likely be Roscoe and Flash though.
