Beached (again)

I saw that when I came out of shem creek. I asked if they needed anything and they said no our cooler is full. I laughed my ass off. Another guy told me they asked if he could pull them off and I about died laughing shooting beer out my nose. That burns by the way. LOL

This one clearly required a few drinks! Sunday I rubbed the flat a bit coming out of Shem at low tide but slow and easy. How wide is the flat coming out of Shem? The one right in the middle right after the no wake markers. Seems like a dredge would be beneficial right there.

It’s very wide. You have to hug the end of crab bank and I mean think you’re going to hit crab bank. But don’t hug it as close as these guys did. They did it wrong.

Poor yankees, some good old boy told which way to and they beleive him, just go straight out you can’t miss it

Local Boy, Just having fun.

Ha nature boy, I did that when I was about a 12 year old kid bc a big yellow ski boat was waking me when I was low tide fishing in my dad’s jon boat.

“Hey does it get shallow back in here?!”…“Naw, you’re good it’s plenty deep!” Needless to say it was a hell of a scene about thirty seconds later…that post brought back some funny memories growing up.

Haha. Yeah I’d have to agree. Actually I’m talking about where the marked channel cuts 90 degrees upon exiting Shem and then hugs the Mt P side. That cut is tight and if missed at low tide, 15 feet strait ahead is 1.5 ft!

10 more feet and they would have had a hell of story to tell!!

why do they have to be Yankees? just saying, not all bad boaters are from the north…

This is why I do all of my googaning on a mid-incoming tide.

Virginity Lost! If you have not spent the night in pluff mud, you haven’t fished long enough.
CLAIM, I have a ? Are you saying when you come out of shem where that big pillar is you continue strait until you almost hit the ledge at crab bank? OR do you hang a left at that pillar and hug the docks?

CLAIM… is hog to starboard side of Crabby bank when leaving shem?

12 Pack!

Did a family day at Capers inlet yesterday and there were probably 30 other boats out there and there were at least 2 boats that weren’t leaving until the next high tide. One was about a 24 Sea Ray cuddy and that thing was completely dry.

Anyone want to know the real story email me.

You guys need to cut 12Pack Captain some slack. I have been on boats with him hundreds of times over the last 30 years. He is a 100 ton licensed Captain and never takes chances or makes poor decisions. I have heard his account of the “beaching” and it was, what level headed folks call, an accident. The boat was undamaged because he had the good sense to shut down and wait for help. His pride, however, is a bit dinged. So, the next time you see someone aground and can’t give them a hand, give them some sympathy. You could be next.
