Beaufort MCAS Air Show

Need some advice from Beaufort boaters. I do all my boating/fishing at Edisto. Thinking about coming down in the spring for the MCAS airshow at the end of April. Does anyone know if it is possible to see some of the airshow from the water? I know I won’t get the best view but thought it might be fun to see the Blue Angeles go by as I’m fishing. Thanks for any help/input.

Anchor up at end of the MCAS Beaufort runway. Scout it out on google maps and you will see what I am talking about. You would basically never have to leave the ICW coming from Edisto.

The air show in Beaufort covers a lot of territory and can be seen from lots of different places. Low altitude stuff covers a lot of ground, high altitude stuff can be seen from afar.

Downtown at the sandbar will be hoppin’ for sure.

Correct me if I am wrong but hasn’t it been a few years since Blue Angles have flown in Beaufort? I see on website that is definitely a scheduled event, I may very well be at the end of the run way with you!

Spanishking, thanks for the reply. I’m not positive but I thought they were there in 2015.

They come to town every two years. You can see them very well from the intercoastal waterway in Beaufort. The fishing would probably be pretty tough in the area that you can see them from the best because of amount of boat traffic there will be.
