Beaufort restaurants

Are there any new restaurants in the Beaufort area? Been to Wren, Breakwater, Emily’s, Pinini’s, Dockside, Griffin Market, Bull Tavern

I like one on dawtaw when downtown starts getting old.

Cat island grill is pretty good now, but the hours are strange.

We enjoy Plumbs. Q on Bay is good too. I almost always get buffalo oysters from Luthers while were downtown, but I don’t eat anything else in there.
Moondoggies Cafe is pretty good in Port Royal, only been there once. Neat place.
There was a killer little breakfast place in a strip mall that gave you a basket of tiny muffins when you sat down, but I can’t remember the name. We went twice a couple of years ago. I haven’t been back in the area but we went the last two times we were down, it was definitely going to be our “on the way out” place. I can’t find it on google. I’m pretty sure it was on Boundary St.

My wife and I had great burgers for lunch at Lowcountry Produce on Carteret Street last week. Wonderful dinner at Saltus River Grill on Bay Street a few weeks ago.

Headed to the beach is bella luna and foolish frog both really good

Great thread!!! Keep those favorite spots coming!!! We’re always looking for “new/old” places when we’re there. Had my Dad with us last year and he was always wanting to just go get a pizza until we slipped down to the new Dockside one night-now all he wants is more of that good local seafood!

My daughter ALWAYS has to stop at Wren and get their Sea Grits-now that’s a helping of goodness!

How about BBQ joints in Beaufort? Restaurants, shacks, food trucks are all OK by me.

If you’re lucky enough to be fishing, you’re lucky enough.

Two of my favorites that haven’t been mentioned. Fat Patties in Port Royal and Bricks on Boundary in Beaufort.

^^^yup. Also LT’s across from Factory Creek landing for lunch

For fried fare we use to hit the Shrimp Shack but haven’t been in several seasons.
Pretty crowded driving by there last weekend.

Opted for the Broiled Admirals Platter at JCT, To die for.

Back Porch at Port Royal Landing Marina is great…and Red Rooster on Ribaut has breakfast, lunch and dinner!

Do they serve jacks!

Not generally a menu item in SC.

Don’t forget Smok’n Planks for BBQ in Port Royal. It’s OK to plug your own joint baracuda!!

Lived here about 7 years. Favorite is Johnson Creek Tavern for their lunch baskets. Plums at noon on Sundays is nice sitting outside. Emily’s has some of the best steaks I have ever had. Low Country Produce for lunch burgers and breakfast is good. Beaufort Bread on Lady’s Island has very good coffee and different kind of menu. Bricks has always been good. Restsurant at Marina on Dataw has interesting menu and good food. And, for 3am entertainment, go to Waffle House. Always some sort of drama going on.

Bella Luna italian dinner is pretty good too.

If good on Trip Advisor, it is probably pretty good.

A little of a drive but a great view and food is the Johnson Creek Grill on Harbor Island just before the Hunting Island bridge

The flounder sandwich was great at one time but they cut cost and went with a cheap nasty bun.The servers at the bar can be rude when it comes to carry out orders.

Been there twice this summer. One was takeout ordered at the bar with a beer to enjoy the wait. Both meals excellent. Left a good tip even at the bar. Every business (including mine) has its down day.

try’em again.
