This thread really makes me feel lazy that I haven’t secured my leaning post to the deck yet…and i’ve had it for a month. Looking great!

I’m using all AwlCraft 2000 on hull and topside, except non-skid will be sprayed with AwlGrip.

Well, already convinced I’m gonna have to get/have built a new trailer.
Wonder how those rubber bunk strips on Charleston Trailer’s bunks will hold up?

Well, boat hasn’t been touched since the other day. Primer coat down on all hatches and the console…
Vacation got in the way.
Monday.

Ha! Tolerating it by not being in it…although I did fish yesterday, I’ve been cooped up otherwise. It’s brutal out there.

Not really, hit the freshwater for a sunrise topwater bite, only caught 7, and was out by 10AM before it got blazing hot. Slow morning but I wasn’t at home!

Console, hatches, and all other panels are in final primer. Theyll be painted before the weekend is out.
Saturday morning the boat will make a trek to Columbia for Happy Bob to work his magic…
Also battling the console layout. I’m fairly confident that the glare screen and the angle of the Simrad when mounted in this position will be usable. If I’m using NAV, I’m standing up anyway…
Now, back to switches. Where to put them? I’m debating now using some push button style aluminum switches…guess I’ll make my mind up when I actually order them.

This one is a little bigger than yours but the use of the available space is pretty impressive, maybe you can incorporate some of the ideas from it.

motor cowl is awesome . Nice to have a blank canvas to work with on consol. Only concern I noticed would be to have screen basicly facing
up;;, water standing , dropping things , glare , heat of sun affecting
the LCs of screen… Just me thinking!!! and it is all beautiful work, gonna look good!

Dang, what a paint job !!

A bit of concern on the screen but a remedy in place just in case…
Also the boat will be covered when not in the water, so it shouldn’t take too much abuse I hope.

Took the boat up to Columbia to see Bob yesterday. Got two phone calls from people who passed the boat on the highway and had to call and remark on it. Left Charleston, got Bob set up and ready to start, and back to Charleston by 11AM. Can’t wait to see what he comes up with for the design of the poling platform!
It’s all going to come together!
