Best Boat ramp to access ocean?

Thinking about trying the reefs off Edisto and was wondering best spot to launch from. 20’ sea hunt

Dawhoo

There are also two ramps on the South river side, the State Park landing, just before you get to the the beach and the ramp at the marina. The State Park landing can be a little funkie at dead low tide and the marina requires some good trailer backing, but should be no trouble for a 20’ boat… both are fee landings, I think $10.00 at the marina and it is by the person at the State Park

Dawhoo bridge is a nice public ramp, easy access to the ocean just make sure you run the channel markers if you are at low tide. One short stretch that can be kinda tricky if you never been out that way, it is marked very well though.
Steamboat is closer to the ocean and is very easy to get out. Only draw back to Steamboat is the dirtroad to the ramp, but it isn’t too bad since the county worked on it last year.
Marina is a single ramp. As already stated it requires some trailer backing ability. I do it all the time with my rig and I drive a long bed 4 door Ford F250 and back a 21’ boat on a double axle trailer. It isn’t as bad as it looks. Also a short walk from the ramp to the area you have to park your vehicle.
State Park is not a good place to launch if you will be launching or taking out near dead-low. The ramp ends abruptly just below the water line at dead-low.
