Best boat ramp

What is the closest ramp to the mouth of port royal? I’m coming from lady’s island and was looking for something closer to the mouth then the bridge on the broad.

Station Creek might work out for you.

If you’re lucky enough to be fishing, you’re lucky enough.

The Sands at Port Royal…

Thanks guys

i did not realize there were so many.

choose your poison.

There’s one beside the port royal dry stack. Not sure of the name of it, but that’s usually where we put in at. Last Chance bait and tackle is right next to it and has everything you could need there also.

It’s called The Sands.

Station Creek has been known for vehicle breakins.

funny how all the landings are so close… but so far away.

Never had a problem at station creek other than a few impatient people racing to load or unload. Never put in at the sands but have walked the boardwalk and climbed the tower.

IF your coming from lady’s just head to Parris Island and then ver off to the right. Station is a good landing high or low tide.

The thing that worries me about station creek is it could get hairy in the early a.m. Before the sun comes up. I’ve been on it just enough to know there is a spot that might be hard to navigate in the dark.

the sands is nice for sure for ease of navigation. also, if you ever get bored, the sands ramp is probably one of the most entertaining places in beaufort on sat / sun in the summer. park the truck and grab a beer.

Does that mean the sands is crazy crowded? Think that’s where it will be putting in. At least until I get to know station creek better. Memorial weekend is fun at most ramps. People haven’t started the boat since last summer, and their wife is the one driving the truck. Lots of entertainment.

Fripp or the sands are your best bet…a good backup is the boat rampis battery creek ramp just opposite the entrance to Parris Island…its also an entertaining ramp in the summer… The best one however is Broad river at low tide…it has a nice sandbar…I passed 4 boats that were stuck on it Saturday… Well actually I blow right by em…only way I know to get over it is with horsepower
