I’ve had more than I would guess most people have tried in our fine state. From east coast to the west.
I had a pleasant surprise from Sellsfish’s store. I was given a sample taste which lead to a 1/2 pound purchase that was consumed pretty quick. If anyone on this site loves some fine quality smoked salmon, Sellsfish has some of the best around. Not as good as I get every Christmas from an old friend in Alaska, but (**()+ close!!
Yeah that’s the Ducktrap River salmon pastrami. First time I had it was when I ran the seafood market in a grocery store. Every time I sampled it out, people bought it.
I’ve bought it several times from Sellsfish, makes a GREAT “on the way home” snack after a day’s fishing. Especially if you’re as lousy as I am at putting fish in the cooler.
… The Cross of Christ is the anvil upon which the hammer of evil wore itself out.
It is automatic when I walk in the door, Paul pulls the tuna and the smoked salmon…and THEN asks what else I want. That is the best salmon I have ever eaten
Cracker, I got some of that stuff from Paul and he sent me to get some cream cheese and good crackers(no pun intended)to put it on. You won’t eat a lot of it as it is rich and will fill you fast. Best thing is, it keeps. So you have some for those late night snacks:wink: Eat it with a good cold beer, like Sam Adams Boston Lager. Or 2 or 3:stuck_out_tongue:
One young man in the store told me he got a veggie sub and put it on that. Well that was one of the best subway subs I’ve had. I got a 6" and put a 1/4 pound on it. the other 1/4 was eaten plain.
My next will be on crackers with just a little cream cheese, capers, onion, garlic, and fresh dill.
Dang it you guys! It’s 2 hours to Paul’s store. He’ll be closed before I can get there. AARGH you make me mad, teasing me with your Low Country fresh fare…
Sorry Larry…Unhooking the boat now, and gonna drive down in the morning. No idea how I convinced the almighty wifeyness to agree to it. I’m sure she has some shopping plan up her sleeve!!! Yo BONZO!!! Let’s do lunch!!!
5 pounds Cracker? Your going to need some friends, a lot of cheese and a few Crackers(this time pun intended)! Oh, if you have any money left over, a keg of Sam Adams:wink:
