Two dives on the liberty ship. Only saw a few small grouper and snapper. Did see about a 300 lb jew fish that lives in the hold. There is a NY city street car leaning precariously onto the hull on the east side. Several sea turtles. Except for the big grouper, not a great dive. Didn’t shoot a shot.
Glad you guys got out this weekend. Seeing those Jewfish that big is a little scary. Last one I saw was beating like a drum. Almost like a cannon going off underwater. Keep up the reports. Les
Les,
I have off the whole week starting Monday. I would love to dive with you guys. Let me know if you have plans and room on the boat or come down to Beaufort and dive with us. My cell is 252-4154. I am going to try for a bluewater trip sometime next week too. Let me know. The link to your E-mail didn’t work. If anyone out there wants to dive Beaufort next week give me a call. Mark

Neither does your link. I think I have yours from a while back though. Can go 16-18 then off to Puerto Rico.
I’ve never spearfished before, but it sure sounds exciting. I just had a question for yall, do you ever get hooked by fisherman. That may be a stupid question, but just wondering.

Naw, really try and stay away from the fishermen. I did see the line of a fella on the boat one time. Watched a trigger suck the bait and spit it out a dozen times. Funny actually. You can easily see the tackle down there. Amazed that we catch any fish on R&R. Stupid fish I guess. Les@charlestondiving.com
Do you run Charleston Diving. I used to work on the clipper and remember a few of yall. I believe you changed our props.
Naw it’s CharlestonDiving.com, not the business. There’s some good info on there. New site, but going well. Later, Les
