Beware Steamboat Landing

The dirt road leading to Steamboat landing is in terrible shape due to all of the high water. I watched a truck towing a boat today get stuck. It will take at least a week of dry weather before I would feel comfortable using the ramp. Use Dawhoo if you want to fish the north side.

Thanks, I think I may wait until next week to fish anyway. I haven’t had my boat in the water since last December so another week is no big deal.

Robert, I’d sure make sure the motor ran at home before I took it to the water! I have not had good luck with the gas we get now lasting over 2 months. Good luck!!

Thanks for the reminder boatpoor,. I think I will be ok, I used stabilizer on the last tank and only have 1/4 tank left and plan to top it off with fresh. Also ran the motor out of gas on last use. I towed it to edisto from Florence area weekend before last without seeing if would run so the trip to the landing is no big deal if it doesn’t run. I am confident it will run, it is a Honda :smiley:.
